REGISTRATION & POLICIES

The Academy of Dance Arts has a commitment to providing the highest standard of dance training, including personalized attention and the ability to address individual needs. 

For the safety of our students and facility, we are unable to accommodate drop-ins for placement classes or tours. Please contact us to schedule a complimentary placement evaluation and/or studio tour. We are unable to accommodate drop-in students or tours at this time.

Registration & Class Information

Yearly Registration Fee:

  • There is a once yearly registration fee of $80 per student, which is due at the time of registration.

 

Tuition and Payment Schedule:

  • Tuition will be posted around the 23rd of each month and is due on the 1st of the following month.

  • We offer classes from August 19th, 2024, to May 31st, 2025. Tuition payments are divided into 9 monthly installments from September to May.

  • Any registration changes made after the 20th of the month will incur a $10 late change fee.

 

Recital Fees:

  • Recital fees will be due on October 31st. More information about the recital will be provided soon.

Early Childhood and Adult Classes:

  • Early Childhood classes (ages 3 to 1st grade) and Adult Classes will begin on September 18th.

  • Creative Dance (ages 3-pre-K), Discovering Dance (Kindergarten), Beginning Level Classes (minimum age 1st grade), and Adult Classes will meet on a trimester basis.

    • Trimester 1 - September 16 - November 23, 2024​

    • Trimester 2 - January 20 - March 29, 2025

    • Trimester 3 - April 7 - May 31, 2025

  • Dancers in these classes have the option to participate in our June recital if they also enroll in the Spring Trimester (Winter Trimester participation is strongly encouraged!).

  • There is NO $80 yearly registration fee for these classes. Tuition is $250 per class, per trimester, due at the time of registration.

  • Summer Session 2024:  Most classes are $37.50/session.  Beginner's Luck class is $56.25/session.

  • FINE PRINT: Upon enrollment, The Academy assumes you will continue enrollment into the following trimester unless you notify us in writing of your intent to withdraw. Tuition cannot be prorated, but missed classes can be made up within the same trimester.

  • Year-round class options are available for these age categories. Please refer to the year-round class schedule for details.

Year-Round Classes (2nd grade & up; placement class required):

  • Year-round classes follow our typical school year calendar. Please check the holiday calendar for relevant dates.

  • Ballet II requires two classes per week and offers two scheduling options: Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Thursday.

  • Ballet III requires two classes per week, unless enrolled in at least one other discipline. To participate in the June ballet, you need to take three Ballet III classes per week. Auditions will be held for various roles.

  • Pre-Pointe requires instructor approval and registration in three Ballet III classes plus both Pre-Pointe classes.

  • Pointe (all levels) requires instructor approval and registration in three ballet plus three pointe classes per week.

  • Jazz Team Members should refer to their previous email for rehearsal information. Ensure your enrollment is accurate to avoid errors in costume ordering and competition registration.

  • Conservatory Schedule is available (audition required for new students). Middle and Upper Theatre students should register for their "bundle." If you wish to take additional disciplines like jazz, modern, or leaps & turns, please register for those classes separately.

Refund Policy

Tuition paid is non-refundable and non-transferable to another student or program. Students are eligible for a pro-rated tuition refund only if they withdraw from classes due to prolonged illness or severe injury, verified by a doctor’s certificate. Should classes need to be suspended due to an act of God or pandemic, a Zoom alternative will be provided. In the event of a class cancellation, you will be offered makeup alternatives. Any unused monies will remain as a credit on the family account for future use.

Nondiscrimination Policy

In order to provide equal admission and advancement opportunities to all students, admission decisions at ADA are based on ability. ADA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, a genetic trait, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Withdrawal Policy

Should a parent desire to withdraw a student prior to the end of the Academic Year, ADA must receive written notice stating the student’s name and the date the student will officially withdraw from the program. The Parent or Guardian will be responsible for all tuition payments due until a written notice of withdrawal is received stating the date of withdrawal. Verbal notification of withdrawal will not be accepted. Please see the ADA Refund Policy for information.
